Go and measure your gap now, with a ruler, at the widest point. If it is over 1.2" this product will sag into it, and no amount of "universal" in a listing changes that.
A single-pack is a deliberate choice: the driver's side gap is the one that swallows things. The passenger side rarely earns a second unit.
Leather here means the outer skin. The structure that holds the shape is the seam and the internal panel, and no maker in this category publishes what that is.

The maker does not publish the cup diameter, which is exactly the number you need. If you are trying to house a big bottle, buy a proper cup holder expander instead — we cover the sizes that actually fit.

What you get in the box
Two Drop Stops, one for each front gap, which is the right quantity rather than a padded one — the passenger side gap collects everything a passenger drops and deserves the second unit. Plus a Slide Free Pad and an LED credit card light.
We would treat the light as packaging rather than a feature. It is a giveaway item and it is not a reason to choose this over anything else.
How it stays put
It threads onto the seat belt stalk rather than relying on friction against the two sides of the gap. That is the retention method we prefer everywhere on this site, for a simple reason: a friction fit breaks every time you adjust the seat, because the gap changes width through the seat's travel. Something anchored to the belt stalk moves with the seat instead of against it.
If you adjust your seat regularly — and most people who share a car do — this difference is the one that decides whether the product is still in place in a month.
The honest limitation: it stores nothing
This is not a criticism so much as a category definition, and it is where most of the disappointment with Drop Stop comes from. People buy it expecting a pocket.
There is no pocket. No phone slot, no card sleeve, no cup position. It is a bolster that seals the gap, and that single-mindedness is exactly why it works in gaps that defeat the pocket-shaped alternatives — a pocket needs structure, and structure needs a width to be built around.

What Drop Stop does not publish
No dimensions. Length, thickness and the compressed width range are all absent from the listing, and we are not going to estimate them. For this product the absence matters less than it does elsewhere on this site, because the compressible mechanism is what removes the need for a number — but it is worth recording that it is not there.
There is also no published information on how the neoprene ages. Neoprene takes a compression set over years; whether these do, and how fast, is not something any listing states and not something we have measured.
Who should buy something else
- Anyone who actually wants storage. Buy a console side box and accept slightly worse blocking — the one on this page publishes the gap range it fits, so you can check it against your car first.
- Anyone whose real problem is that the cup holders are full. A gap filler with a cup position solves both at once, and one on this page has one.
