This policy covers cabincommand.com, published by Slate Mill Group. It is written to be read rather than to be comprehensive-sounding, and it describes what the site actually does.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not have accounts, logins or user profiles. There is nothing to sign up for.
- We do not run a newsletter or an email list.
- We do not host third-party advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
- We do not ask for any personal information anywhere except the contact form.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buy links are clicked. This sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit — typically pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived.
We also record an event when an outbound buy link is clicked, which tells us which product links get used. That event records the product and the page it was clicked from. It does not record anything about you personally.
Google’s handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or with an extension. The site works normally if you do.
Affiliate links
Buy links on this site pass through an on-site redirect at /go/ and then to the retailer, usually Amazon. When you arrive at the retailer, the retailer may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. That is how affiliate programs work and it is described in full on the disclosure page.
Once you are on the retailer’s site, the retailer’s privacy policy applies and ours does not. We never see what you buy, and we never see your payment details, your name or your address — we receive aggregate commission reporting from the retailer and nothing that identifies you.
The contact form
If you use the form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you type. Those are sent to our own inbox by email and are used solely to reply to you.
- It is not added to any mailing list, because we do not have one.
- It is not shared with any third party.
- It is not used for marketing of any kind.
- Email correspondence is retained for as long as it is useful for handling the query and any follow-up, then deleted.
The form uses a hidden field and a timing check to filter automated submissions. Those record nothing about you — the hidden field is only checked for being empty, and the timing check only measures how long the page had been open.
Server logs and hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any web host, requests generate server logs that may include IP addresses, request paths and user-agent strings, retained by the host for operational and security purposes. We do not use those logs for tracking or profiling.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies described above. There is no login, so there are no session or authentication cookies. Blocking cookies does not break anything here.
Children
This site is intended for adults buying car accessories and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your choices and your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of its sale — which is straightforward here, because the only personal information we hold is email correspondence you chose to send, and we do not sell anything.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the reviewed date at the top of the page changes with it. We do not silently rewrite it.
