Cover versus cargo net — they solve opposite problems
A soft cover assumes everything you load fits below the rim of the box. A cargo net assumes it does not. If what you carry is mostly loose small items, the cover is right. If you regularly carry something tall — a plant, a rolled rug, a box that stands proud — the net is right, because it stretches over the load and holds it vertical instead of just concealing it.
